Harrell scored 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting as defending national champion
Louisville defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 115-67 on Tuesday night in the Cardinals'
first exhibition game.
Four guards joined Harrell in double figures. Terry
Rozier scored 18 points and Russ
Smith had 17 while Chris
Jones and Anton
Gill added 16 and 13, respectively.
Kentucky Wesleyan trailed 11-9 following Alex Brown's two free throws with
14:41 remaining in the first half but the Cardinals clicked off a 20-2 run over
the next 4:11, highlighted by two contested lob dunks by Harrell. Louisville led
49-33 at halftime as the Panthers had nearly as many fouls (24) as points.
Louisville hit 15 of its first 17 shots in the second half to lead 82-45 with
11:55 to play.
Freshman Ken-Jah Bosley led the eight-time Division II champion Panthers with
21 points.
